Welcome to the Counselor's Corner at Beckwith Middle School. As yet another school year begins, we are excited to share with you some information about the many services offered through Beckwith's Guidance and Counseling Program. We are looking forward to working with you and your child and welcome your suggestions and input. Please feel free to contact us if we may be of assistance to you. By working together we can ensure a rewarding school year for all Beckwith students.
Services Provided
* Individual and group counseling, depending on the nature of the concern.
* Primary prevention programs (i.e. bullying) within the classroom setting.
* Psychological and Educational assessments.
* Placement of the student's in appropriate academic settings, through collaboration with teachers and parents
* Assistance with the transition to middle and high school - career exploration grade 8
* Consultation with administration, teachers and parents related to academic, social and emotional needs.
* Serve as a liasion between school and outside agencies.
* Organize service activities between the school and community.
