Superintendent's Message
Welcome to the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District!
We take great pride in our school district and would like to share that with you! The staff of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School District is committed to providing a lifelong learning community for our students, parents, and staff. We have excellent staff members who work tirelessly to provide the best education possible for each student.
The mission of the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School district, in collaboration with parents and the community, is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and social responsibility to become contributing citizens in our ever-changing world. Therefore, we have a wide variety of curricula, extra-curricula activities, athletic, and music programs to stimulate and motivate the diverse interests and needs of all of our students.
In addition to our already strong programs, we do have several goals in providing a quality education to our students. Our primary goal is to increase student achievement to meet the federal No Child Left Behind goal of all students reaching proficiency in English Language Arts and mathematics by 2014. To achieve this goal, we are training our teachers in differentiated instruction, co-teaching in an inclusion classroom, and various uses of technology hardware and software to enhance learning opportunities. Another goal is to focus on literacy and mathematics instruction and providing students with skills for the 21st century.
We need the continued support of parents and community members to provide the best possible educational experience for all of our students. And, we look forward to working with you in partnership!
Sincerely,
Dr. Kathleen A. Montagano
